Ran pilot program segment for development of online ATM payment system.
Pilot participants included: Star Systems, ActivCard, Oberthur, Citibank.
Defined, developed, and managed a Peer-to-Peer payment technology eventually
acquired by Peer-to-Peer file sharing company.
Directed the development of an Affiliate Payment line of business yielding
$4.5 million in sales in year one with $480K spent on development, marketing,
and operations. Also assisted in growing consumer base from 4.2 million
to 12.1 million within 12 month period.
Defined and managed the development of a CRM system for merchants using
payment and advertising system. This system set a new direction for outsourced
application deployment and was integrated into an ASP services corporation
as a spin-off.
Marketing
Programs:
Created an initial marketing seeding on a new payment service by using
a combination of direct-email to the existing consumer base, direct-mail
to existing business clients followed by online and off-line industry articles
(through key contacts) within three days of all mailings. It resulted in
a 7% consumer response and a 31% higher than expected business response
with 2 preliminary contracts for technology service within 30 days.
Created a new Viral Marketing program that facilitated our existing consumers
to easily send messages to other consumers for our incentive advertising
services. We had a 62% increase in multiple visits by consumers and an increase
from 1.2 millions registered consumers to over 12 million within one year.
This was covered by "Internet.com Marketing" as an example of
marketing program that was successful and provided a valuable service to
consumers.
Managed an Intranet knowledgebase and resource integration for multiple
sites supporting over 100K employees worldwide. The sites provided both
technical and business information resources from internal sites and external
vendors' sites costing Wells over $900,000 per year.
Developed an adjunct marketing program that increased the use of these
information resources. By defining and developing a new technology that
allowed copy-and-paste of a copy block of headlines that tied back to the
technical and business sites we linked all Wells sites to the main resources.
Coinciding with the development of the technology was a coordinated marketing
outreach through internal memos, company newsletters, training seminars,
and credit to a department's budget when resources were used.
